Prepare Your Pool For Fall

As the months quickly pass by, fall will be here before you know it. Fortunately, the Texas sun can still afford you the opportunity to enjoy your pool late into the year. Even though you may not close your pool as many pool owners are forced to do around the country, there are still some things to consider as the weather cools.

Leaves, Leaves, Leaves

As the weather cools, leaves will begin to fall from trees. Although beautiful to see, these leaves can be particularly harmful to your pool if not properly addressed. You will have to be on top of your game this fall, and dedicate time to keeping your pool clean. Allowing debris to accumulate in your pool can ruin your pool’s filtration system, proving costly.

Prepare Your Pool For A Cleaning

You should consider contacting a professional regarding a one-time cleaning service. A deep clean will do wonders for the health and longevity of your pool. Dirt, stains, and calcium deposits that have accumulated over a summer with frequent usage can be removed with a one-time cleaning service. It is better to remove these things at the end of the season when they are still fresh, rather than trying to play catch up at the beginning of next season when they have had time to solidify.

Adjust Your Schedule

You may need to adjust your pool’s system as you move into fall. You do not want to run your pool’s system in the middle of the day when you would prefer to be using it! As the sunrise hours change, be sure to keep your pool’s schedule up to date so that it does not interfere with your daily use.
